Porter Productions presents the first-ever
The Town and The City Festival to be held in Lowell, MA on October 19th and 20th. The festival, which will be held in multiple venues in downtown Lowell, will celebrate the adventurous spirit of Lowell native, Jack Kerouac, in an event which features both locally based and national touring acts.

Join us on Friday night at 7p for three singular voices:

Janaka Stucky :: Janaka is a mystic poet, performer, and publisher whose latest book, Ascend Ascend, is forthcoming from Third Man Records & Books in 2019. Find him at janakastucky.com.

Scarlett Sabet :: Scarlett is a London based poet and performer whose third book, Zoreh, was published in 2018.

Andrea Gibson :: Andrea is an American poet and activist from Colorado whose latest book, Lord of the Butterflies, is forthcoming in November.

Named for the title of his first major published work, The Town and City Festival offers Two-Day Passes that will be available for just $45 and single day passes for $32. A limited number of individual show tickets are also available. For tickets go to https://bit.ly/2w78AmC.

Attendees with day passes will have access to music across a multitude of venues in Lowell to see artists including Abbie Barrett, Ali McGuirk, Andrea Gibson, Analog Heart, Anjimile, Arlen, Bat House, Billy Wylder, Bong Wish, Caitlin Canty, Chris Freeman (from Parsonfield), Chris Trapper, D-Tension with DJ Emoh Betta, daisybones, Damon & Naomi, Dan and the Wildfire, DJ Myth, Ed “Moose” Savage, Ed Balloon, Edo G, Evan Goodrow Band, EXP, Frank Morey, Gary Hoey, Horse Mode, Idle Pilot, Ill Supreme, Janaka Stucky, Jireh Calo, Kingsley Flood, Kristin Hersh, Luna Collective featuring Cara Campanelli, Melvern Taylor, oldsoul, Peter Bradley Adams, Phil Cambra and The Space Cadets, Ryan Lee Crosby, Scarlett Sabet, Scott Pittman, Sugar Blood Jinx, Surprise Party, The Droimlins, The Natty D’s, The Party Band, The Shirts And Shoes, Walter Sickert and the Army of Broken Toys, Will Dailey, and Wreckless Eric. 

“I am devoted to Lowell and love the idea of adding a significant event that heightens Lowell’s reputation as a major arts and music community in the vibrant New England landscape,” said festival promoter, Chris Porter, a Lowell native. “Bringing a unique and diverse festival event to a region that has a relatively limited number of festivals is a true labor of love for me. To have this event stand alongside the Lowell Folk Festival, the Lowell Summer Music Series at Boarding House Park, and other great area events will be an honor.”

Venues across downtown Lowell will be hosting the festival including The Luna Theater, Coffee and Cotton, Christ Church United, Uncharted Gallery, Gallery Z, and the Parker Gallery at the Whistler House Museum of Art which will host all ages performances. Other participating venues will be Zorba Music Hall, Warp & Weft, and The Old Court which will host 21+ shows.
