Special Performance: Sphinx & Snakeskin in Philadelphia, PA

  • Sphinx & Snakeskin 45 North 2nd Street Philadelphia, PA, 19106 United States (map)

TICKETS AVAILABLE HERE

Sphinx & Snakeskin is delighted to welcome two of today's foremost occult writers to our lair.

Poet Janaka Stucky and author Pam Grossman both explore notions of magic, transformation, and word witchery in their work as we'll see in this night of entrancing performance and conversation.

The evening will begin with an illustrated reading from Grossman's WHAT IS A WITCH (Tin Can Forest Press) as well as a sneak-preview from her forthcoming non-fiction book, WAKING THE WITCH: REFLECTIONS ON WOMEN, MAGIC, AND POWER (out June 4th from Gallery Books). Stucky will then perform excerpts from his new book, ASCEND ASCEND (Third Man Books), a mystic poem about divinity and sublime obliteration.

The readings will be followed by Q&A, book signing, and celebration.
